MEET ELYSE DEAN

Meet Elyse Dean, a midwest mama, and wife with the prettiest Instagram feed we've ever seen. She is a faithful follower of God and has the sweetest baby girl named Koven. Get to know one of our favorite Instagrammers in this week's #thehatswewear series.

What are the roles or hats you lead in your life?

Like most women, I wear many hats! I wear the hat of a wife, mother, daughter, and friend. I also wear the hat of a blogger/Instagrammer.

Which hat do you find most rewarding?

I find the most rewarding hat is my role as a mother. There is something indescribably satisfying about being THE mom to your babies.... even on the worst days, It’s a hat I’ll never take off.

What hats do you find are most challenging and what do you do to embrace them?

I find that my hat as a friend is most challenging- mostly because I am learning how to be a good friend even in this new stage of life where my husband and babies take priority. In order to embrace it, I make sure and give QUALITY time to my friends when the opportunity arises- and if their name is on my mind, I send them a quick text to let them know I love them. So many times it’s been just what they needed.

What hats are least known about you?

My least known hat is my role as a sister. I have one older brother that many people know of, but I also have three younger brothers (ages 6mo, 4yrs,7yrs) who mean very much to me. The dynamic with them is far different than anything else in my life.

Who or what inspires you?

Thoughtfulness inspires me. People who live their life with intentionality always cultivate passion and gratitude. It’s magnetic. I try to live each day intentionally- even when it’s just the time spent on my phone. Am I being encouraging? Learning something new? Resting my mind? I truly admire those who can consistently live in that mindset.
