Tips on Finding the Best Fit for Your Hat
One of our goals here at Gigi Pip is to make sure you find a hat that you feel confident in. With that, comes making sure you are picking out a hat that compliments your face shape, hair color and even the shape of your head. Most of our hats come in two sizes, small/medium and medium/large.
The S/M measures 57 centimeters and the M/L measures 59 centimeters. If you fall somewhere in between that spectrum, you're off to a great start and we can help you with the rest!
Whether you have a small or large head, we can help you find the perfect fit through our customizable sizingoptions:
ADJUSTABLE SWEATBAND
A lot of our newer styles come with an adjustable sweatband. If this is the case for your hat, to adjust the size all you have to do is:
1. Flip up the sweatband.
2. Pull until you feel the band tighten.
3. Velcro in place.
4. Try on as you go and adjust accordingly.
SIZING TAPE
We offer sizing tape as an additional purchase for your hat and highly recommend it if you're looking for that "fits like a glove" feel. Follow these steps to insert your sizing tape:
1. Flip up the sweatband
2. Take an inch of tape and hold it in place on either side of the hat. 3. Start with one piece and try on as you go.
** 1 inch of tape will take you down half a size**
Simple as that!
DIY
If your hat doesn't come with an adjustable band and you're looking for an easy, at home option with supplies you have on hand, you can thread yarn through the sweatband to adjust the size. Pull the end of the yarn tight until it reaches the size you are looking for, tie a knot at the end and wa-lah!
